Rachel is a BCBA with an undergraduate and master's degree in Psychology.
She has been in the field since 2018. Over the past years, she has worked with ages 2-14 and has been in all kinds of settings such as school settings, in-home, and clinic-based.
Rachel Meyer has specialized in early intervention for the past three years and loves it! She loves teaching kids with special needs alternative skills such as receptive and expressive communication, play, interaction, and daily living skills to reduce challenging behaviors.
She is passionate about providing compassionate care and using a trauma-assumed approach.
My Approach to
Therapy
ABA is effective if it is individualized and tailored to each client's needs. This means that the number of treatment hours, and treatment plans will be individualized according to each client.
Rachel is focused on providing effective compassionate care and following the client's lead. Clients are taught skills in a play-based, functional manner to teach them to be more independent and to reduce challenging behaviors that are barriers to learning or that could hurt themselves or others around them.
Rachel believes in collaboration with other specialties to provide the most effective; there will be collaboration with parents, and other co-treaters (SLP, OT, PT, pediatricians) if there is a need.

Each client should expect an individualized experience. Treatment will be tailored specifically to each of the client's needs. From referrals, families can expect open communication and collaboration.
A compassionate care approach will be utilized in which Rachel will listen to all your questions and concerns, and work to provide effective, compassionate treatment through changing the environment, collaboration, and teaching skills that promote independence while reducing problem behaviors.
